GROUND
ZERO PLUS 1102 DAYS,--New York, NY, Friday,
September 17, 2004--Terrorism
by mankind or by Nature seems utterly senseless.

No
one stands above Mother Nature |
While
the world dances on the razor's edge of eating its own children
through Acts of Terrorism, Mother Nature seems to be adding
her two-bits worth.
Lashing
fiercely against man-made structures, Her hurricanes and typhoons
and tornadoes have raped, pillaged and plundered the security
of those who think humans have some control over their visitation
rights on this earth.
Some
might say that Mother Nature is telling us all that true Terrorism
comes from the sky, or from the volcanic eruptions belching
up from the core of the earth.
Winds
nearing 160-miles-per-hour have lashed the backs of humanity,
killing hundreds and leveling homes and businesses with a
continuous wave of winds and water that erode the foundations
of structures and the faith that civilization is somehow safe
from the wraths of God and Nature.

Some
might say Mother Nature is letting us know true Terrorism
comes from her |
The
other day I was mesmerized hearing of a surprise storm at
the turn of the century that leveled Galveston, Texas, burying
it in sheets of water.
The
Children's Children's Children of the survivors recalled stories
of people screaming as they were drowning, reciting the whimpers
of children, and the howls of those about to be reduced to
mulch by Nature's death-dealing hand.
Terrorism
is not exclusive. It isn't just limited to mad groups bent
on blowing up the innocent to make some point regarding its
ideals or beliefs that it stands above all in righteousness.
No
one stands above Mother Nature.

Mother
Nature has the power to wipe out Earth with one meteor |
With
one meteor, flung from some distant galaxy like David's rock
against Goliath, She can wipe the earth with a sheet of ice,
destroying what is so that evolution may again try and get
it right the next time.
There
are many dark holes in the history of life, and those are
often traced back to the skirts of Mother Nature, who, at
some point, tires of anyone challenging her power and might.
Ultimately,
Mother Nature is the Parent of Terrorism, for when she elects
to fill the earth with some virus or choke off the atmosphere
with some cataclysmic explosion that evaporates our atmosphere,
as Mars shows signs of being denuded of its, there will be
no one to record her power.

Vigilant
Parents did not attempt to defy Mother Nature when the
Storms of Terrorism laid waste |
She
will stand alone, the Mother of all Terrorism as we know it,
upon the graves of her children and grandchildren who may
have abused their gifts of knowledge and wisdom, and grown
to believe they were in control of the universe.
The
hurricanes only symbolize that Terrorism is part of life--even
if we call it Natural Terrorism versus Unnatural Terrorism
as likened by the killing of school children in Russia.
But
by any name, the savaging of the innocent, and the indiscriminate
laying waste to the land, ultimately makes for one simple
equation--Terrorism thrives.
While
we might attempt to control and manage Unnatural Terrorism,
there is a known powerless that we cannot do the same with
Natural Terrorism.
That
leaves us with only one alternatively--to live a life of Vigilance
within the center of the Storm of Terrorism.

Those
Vigilant parents who knew of the approaching storms left their
homes for the high ground. They did not attempt to defy Mother
Nature or match her might with human arrogance.
Standing
up to Mother Nature doesn't mean we are stupid. But it means
we respect her power.
Respecting
Unnatural Terrorism's power over us is just as important.
Parents of Vigilance will seek the high ground against Unnatural
Terrorism as they did against Nature's Terrorism.
Instead
of surrendering to Fear, Intimidation and Complacency, the
Triad of Unnatural Terrorism, the Parent of Vigilance will
seek the highest possible ground--The Principles of Vigilance.
On
this ground, they will fight Fear with Courage, battle Intimidation
with Conviction, and not surrender to Complacency (powerlessness)
but rather stand on the highest possible ground, taking Right
Actions in behalf of the Children's Children's Children.

Keep on
the high ground and Stand Tall with Vigilance |
You
can take the high ground today.
You
can stand tall on the crest of the Principles of Vigilance
and watch those who surrender to the waves of Fear, Intimidation
and Complacency drown in their own blindness.
You
also can reach out to them and offer a lifeline.
